• The answer: No door-to-door permit in the current code. Beaumont's 1978 Code had an "Itinerant Vendors; Solicitors" article with a permit, fee and bond section (Sec. 7-21). The code's own comparative table marks every section of that article "Rpld. by Ord. 07-019," and the current Chapter 6, Business Regulations, has no peddler, solicitor or itinerant vendor article. The only "solicitation permit" the city issues is for charitable organizations collecting from cars at intersections (Article 12.05); the city's FAQ says solicitation permits will only be issued to charitable organizations.
