• The answer: Yes — a peddler or solicitor permit from the Georgetown Police Services Records Section before anyone works (6.16.020). One application can cover a crew: it lists every individual in the campaign, and only the names on the approved application may work under that permit (6.16.040(D), 6.16.080(D)). A solicitor is anyone taking orders house-to-house or business-to-business for goods or services delivered later (6.16.010(B)).
