Marana, Arizona: door-to-door solicitor permit

Partly read: the permit answer is sourced, but the fee or the hours could not be read from the city’s own pages. The clerk questions below cover the gap.

• The answer: Yes, per the Town's own peddler licensing pages: a business license plus a Peddler Supplemental License Application, with fingerprints, and the application says it must be on file before you can engage in business in the Town. The supplemental form asks for the source of goods "or for which orders are to be taken, or services to be provided". The Town Code behind it (Title 9) could not be read, so who counts as a peddler and any exemptions are not on this card.
• Where it comes from: The Town of Marana Finance Department's business licensing office, Marana Municipal Complex, 11555 W Civic Center Dr. The form routes each application through Building, Planning, Police and Finance review. Fingerprints are taken at the Marana Police Department.

• What the rep carries: Not read from the code. The Town's page lists a valid government-issued picture ID among the documents needed to apply.
• What takes the time: A valid Arizona TPT (transaction privilege tax) number, a government-issued picture ID, a completed fingerprint card from the Marana Police Department, and the supplemental form's criminal history, employer, vehicle and prior-towns sections.
